As this year comes to a close, I would like to extend my warmest wishes for health and happiness to every ham in the WPA Section! If Santa slides down your chimney with a new rig, feel free to share your joy on these pages. Pictures are not only welcome, they are encouraged!
The next few days mark the end of my time as Affiliated Club Coordinator. It has been a genuine privilege to meet so many active and interesting radio amateurs all across this big section of ours. I’ve seen so many projects, and so many activities that my head is spinning.
Congratulations to all the new hams I’ve met. For me the best part of our favorite hobby is when someone new passes their test and can get on the air! To all the instructors and VEs out there, please accept my heartfelt gratitude. Let’s keep up the good work!
I would like to express my appreciation to Tim Duffy, K3LR for his guidance and leadership the past two years as Section Manager. He has done a fine job, and for me, following in his footsteps is somewhat overwhelming, as he is a very tough act to follow. He has built a solid leadership team of Section Staff, and I can’t begin to express how much easier it will make my job as I settle in as Section Manager.
So a big “Thank You!” to the WPA Section Staff, and to all the club leaders and members who have been so encouraging and supportive of my work. Quite literally, I could not do it without you!
73 everybody, and may this Holiday Season be filled with joy and good spirits for you and yours! Be safe, be healthy and be active.
